Overview

UNICEF seeks a motivated Junior Full Stack Developer for a 6-month remote consultancy within the Digital Inclusion (DID) team. This role focuses on developing scalable web applications that bridge the digital divide, ensuring children and families in underserved communities gain access to essential online resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive frontend interfaces using modern frameworks like React.js
• Build and maintain backend services with Node.js or Python
• Integrate APIs and manage databases for efficient data handling
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Conduct testing, debugging, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure applications are accessible, secure, and performant
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in full stack development
• Proficiency in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js or Vue.js
• Experience with backend: Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or PHP
• Familiarity with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and Git version control
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
