The Role

As Director of Product Management, you will own the end-to-end product strategy for our Safe AV portfolio. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll collaborate with engineering, design, and sales teams to define roadmaps, prioritize features, and launch products that meet stringent safety and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact remote contract role ideal for a visionary leader passionate about AV tech.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product vision aligned with company goals and market trends in autonomous driving
• Lead a team of PMs and work cross-functionally to deliver hardware-integrated AV solutions
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer validation for new features
• Manage product lifecycle, from MVP to scale, ensuring compliance with AV safety standards
• Drive metrics for product success, including adoption, retention, and revenue impact
• Partner with hardware engineers on sensor fusion, LiDAR, and compute platforms
• Represent product at executive levels and industry events

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in tech/hardware, automotive, or autonomous systems
• Proven track record leading product teams through full lifecycle from ideation to launch
• Deep understanding of AV technologies, safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262), and hardware-software integration
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote and cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, Figma)
• Experience in European markets and German language skills are a plus
