As an Expert/Senior DevOps Engineer in Sovereign Cloud Delivery Germany, you will play a pivotal role in SAP's mission to deliver cloud solutions that meet stringent data sovereignty requirements for German and European customers. Sovereign Cloud ensures that data remains within national borders, complying with regulations like GDPR and the EU Data Act.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC principles in multi-cloud environments
• Optimize Kubernetes clusters for high availability and performance in sovereign setups
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security and compliance into DevOps practices (DevSecOps)
• Monitor and troubleshoot production environments using advanced observability tools
• Drive innovation in cloud-native technologies and contribute to SAP's cloud strategy
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotations

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on cloud-native architectures
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Strong expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
• Experience with sovereign cloud environments, GDPR compliance, and German data sovereignty regulations
• Hands-on knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/multi-cloud setups
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; German language skills preferred
