In this critical remote contract role based in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding sensitive data across our Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Utilizing Microsoft Purview, you will implement and manage compliance policies, data loss prevention (DLP) strategies, and retention schedules to ensure adherence to stringent pharmaceutical regulations such as GDPR and FDA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and optimize Purview features for information protection, insider risk management, and audit logging
• Conduct regular compliance assessments, generate reports, and collaborate with legal and IT teams to mitigate risks
• Develop and enforce data classification policies, sensitivity labeling, and eDiscovery workflows
• Automate compliance tasks using PowerShell and integrate with other M365 services like Teams and SharePoint
• Stay ahead of evolving compliance landscapes and recommend best practices for data governance
• Provide training and support to end-users on compliance tools and policies

• Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 Purview, including data classification, sensitivity labels, and compliance features
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory compliance standards relevant to pharmaceuticals
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview compliance manager, eDiscovery, and information protection
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for M365 administration
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to conduct compliance audits and risk assessments
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; certifications like Microsoft Certified: Compliance Administrator Associate preferred
• 3+ years in compliance or data governance roles, ideally in healthcare or pharma
• Strong communication skills in English and German
