Scotiabank, one of Canada's largest banks, is looking for a dynamic Manager, Business Intelligence & Insights to join our Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division on a 12-month contract based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In this leadership role, you will spearhead the BI & Insights function, transforming raw data into strategic intelligence that powers GTB's growth in areas like payments, trade finance, and liquidity management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business challenges, develop robust reporting frameworks, and deliver predictive analytics that inform executive decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end BI process, from data ingestion and modeling to visualization and storytelling

• Partner with GTB stakeholders to define KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Implement advanced analytics solutions using AI/ML where applicable to forecast trends and risks

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred
• 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or insights roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Strong understanding of financial services, particularly transaction banking, payments, and trade finance
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering insights that influence executive decisions
• Strong communication skills to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
