About the Role

As a SAR Delegate / AFC Senior Associate at N26, you will be at the forefront of our Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to review, investigate, and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) while collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate financial crime risks. This role is pivotal in maintaining N26's reputation as a secure and compliant digital bank serving millions across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems
• Analyze customer transactions, KYC data, and behavioral patterns to identify suspicious activities
• Draft and submit high-quality SARs to relevant authorities (e.g., SEPBLAC in Spain)
• Liaise with law enforcement, regulators, and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to the enhancement of AFC policies, procedures, and monitoring rules
• Perform quality assurance reviews on peer investigations
• Stay updated on evolving AML/CTF regulations and industry best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in AML, financial crime compliance, or SAR investigations
• Strong knowledge of EU regulations (e.g., AMLD, PSD2) and Spanish financial laws
• Proficiency in English; Spanish fluency preferred
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with case management systems (e.g., Actimize, NICE) is a plus
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity
