Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable SQL databases
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
Develop and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to support data needs
Automate routine database tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python)
Perform capacity planning and upgrade database systems as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience in SQL database administration (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Expertise in database design, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
Proficiency in backup/recovery strategies, high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, replication)
