In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of SQL Server database environments for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, and migration tasks

• Develop and execute maintenance plans, including index rebuilds, statistics updates, and integrity checks
• Implement and manage backup, restore, and high-availability configurations to minimize downtime
• Optimize queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for maximum efficiency
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to resolve database-related issues
• Ensure compliance with security policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA where applicable)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA
• Expertise in SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching (SQL Server 2016+ preferred)
• Proficiency in T-SQL programming, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of high availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and log shipping
• Experience with backup/recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and database maintenance plans
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration, PowerShell scripting, and monitoring tools like SQL Server Agent, Profiler, or Extended Events
• Understanding of database security best practices, including encryption, row-level security, and auditing
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
